Bespoke Golf Simulator Room
The Vision
The vision for this project was to create a fully functional golf simulator room that could be enjoyed all year round, whatever the weather.
For a client with a real passion for golf, the aim was to create a dedicated space at home where he could continue to practise and play throughout the colder months and on days when the British weather simply didn’t cooperate.
At the same time, we wanted the building to feel considered within the garden environment — not just a functional room, but a well-designed space that felt like a natural extension of the home and garden.
The Challenge
One of the key challenges with any golf simulator room is creating enough internal height and space to allow for a comfortable, unrestricted golf swing.
To achieve this, we designed the building with a pitched roof and worked through the planning process to allow us to create the additional height required. The structure also incorporated steelwork and a carefully considered roof design to provide the necessary clearance while maintaining the strength, appearance and overall quality of the building.
By adapting the structure around the specific requirements of the simulator, we were able to create a room that worked properly without compromising on the overall design.
The Finished Result
The finished result is a fully functional, purpose-built golf simulator room that the client was delighted with.
The project successfully overcame the challenges around height, space and structure, while creating a comfortable and attractive building that sits naturally within the garden.
Most importantly, it gave the client exactly what the project set out to achieve — a dedicated space where he can enjoy his passion for golf throughout the entire year, regardless of the season or the weather outside.
